The Children's Ministry of First Baptist seeks to meet the needs of children in grades 1st through 6th and their families.
Sunday School introduces children to a new bible verse each week. As a group, the children locate and/or read the week's focus verse. The classes are divided by grades for a fun, effective, and meaningful bible study.
Wednesdays, 6:30-7:30 p.m. is for children ages 6-12. On these nights you will hear the sweet sound of children's voices singing praises to God as they learn about him through the language of music. Children's choir performs cantatas and special music several times throughout the school year.
Children's Bible Drill is for grades 4th-6th. We meet on Sundays at 6:30 p.m. from October to April. We learn the books of the bible, ten key passages, and memorize 25 verses. The children have drills at the church, associational, and state levels. Bible Drill is a wonderful way for children to learn scripture and grow closer to Christ!
A missions organization for girls in grades 1st-6th, GA girls discover many wonderful truths. They learn that God loves them as well as people in the world, and they become aware of the needs of other people. They see missionaries as role models for commitment while learning the need for intercessory prayer. GAs meet on Sundays from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m.
RAs is a program for missions education and awareness designed for boys in grades 1st-6th. Weekly meetings are well organized to introduce boys to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Each meeting revolves around learning how the gospel is shared throughout North America and international mission fields. RAs meet on Sundays from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m.
At First Baptist Church, we celebrate God's gift of children and recognize the responsibility that accompanies that gift. We believe in children and their value. A multifaceted program provides for the spiritual, emotional, mental, and social growth of your child.
